槟城旧时光 is a retro Mandopop collection built around places and details that feel unmistakably Penang: George Town, Bukit Mertajam, old ferry memories, rain and simple acoustic textures.

Building a coherent collection

The songs were arranged as more than individual uploads. Vocal, instrumental and unplugged versions were grouped so the mix could move between storytelling and atmosphere without losing the same nostalgic identity.

Visual direction

The images use subdued colours, rainy windows, older streets and domestic details instead of modern spectacle. That restraint matters because the project is about memory. A visual that looks too polished or too contemporary can immediately break the illusion of an earlier Penang.

Why location becomes part of the music

Place names and familiar landmarks work as emotional anchors. The mix does not try to document Penang historically; it uses recognisable cues to create the feeling of looking back at a city through personal memory.
